its inside me and inside of you

i treat it with respect, i know how much its worth
it caused me to reflect, it set me on a search

a search for living beauty
i journey on each day
its everlasting, truly

a search for whats inside
and it never seems to cease
i asked and God replied
it takes a lifetime, at least

now i have passed through worlds of infinite regress
to get back to where we were, and then call it progress

strange, this thing called life, that it should be so
